7 Gifts from God - Consciousness Part 3

Listening to your intuition will take you far and keep you safe, but there's more to it than that; when you start to feel into what how your body responds to certain situations or opinions you start to find YOUR truth. Spirit made each of us and we are all different and we are all free to find our truth and our way to Spirit. When you hear the opinions of others or learn something new you have a chance to decide if its true to you. Something that works for one person may not work for everyone, but the beauty of it all is that we have a choice. 
There are tons of opinions out there, every body has one; but when you are on a path that is seeking love and seeking Spirit you are called to rise above all those swirling opinions. Anything from politics, world news, government, religion, homosexuality, marriage, raising children, it ALL leads to steadfast thoughts and opinions of "how things are" or "how things should be" which is the breeding ground of hate and judgement. Think about how all those topics made you feel just now. Could you feel the emotional charge in your body, that energy zapping, happiness sucking, yuck feeling in your gut?? That's your inner guidance, that piece of Spirit inside you saying "let it go". 
If you read the posts so far about the 7 Gifts from God then you already know that you don't want those emotions and feelings in your body. If you listen, really listen and seek God and love FIRST, before your own thoughts, before your own opinions and really search for peace and happiness its so much easier to let all the "stuff" go. I had a post about contentment and if you found that place and want to stay in it, then you have to let opinions go, and you already know there is no point to arguing with someone to try to change their mind, because you won't. Has anyone yet changed their opinion because you argued with them?
When you let go of all the opinions and see people for who they are and what they contain and the potential they have within, all the "stuff" doesn't really matter. Remember, God only wants you to be the best you you can be and shine and spread you love and light in the world, He's not asking you to change the world, but if it happens along the way then your life becomes a testament of how walking the path of God can make a difference for others and not just yourself. So why have an opinion about any of it? Why do you have to make a stand? Why do you have to make a choice? Choose Spirit, choose love if you have to pick! 
As far as politics, I vote, and I have my party I support, I am a Republican, but before that I am a seeker of God on a spiritual path. I don't watch the news, I choose not to, it's too depressing and I know that I cannot immediately make a difference and allowing myself to become involved or opinionated or upset over what's happening doesn't serve the greater good, I just continue to be the best me. I follow and accept the rules and laws of government because I know I follow a higher rule and law. 
I choose to find my own religious path because I don't agree with the limitations and rules humans have placed on God/Goddess/Unity/Universal Oneness/Jesus/Buddha/Spirit/Creator/Great Father/Great Mother/ whatever you believe, I believe people can find and feel their true path to Spirit. I believe all people have a right to love and live however they see fit if they are harming none. I believe marriage should be for anyone but should be kept sacred. I believe children should be supported, loved, shown by example but also given tough love and allowed to learn their own life lessons. 
That covered all those topics in a short quick way and that's how I feel. Someone may not agree and that is fine, its not up to me to change any one's mind or for anyone to try to change my mind. I won't argue my opinions but will share them if asked. Imagine for a moment if you could let go of all your opinions and just be, just be still and be happy and feel into those topics and be able to be around them, hear about them, hear other's opinions and not be effected, not be emotionally charged because you know you are staying in love. 
So I challenge you to look at all your beliefs, opinions and feelings you have about not just the topics above, but all your opinions. Feel into them and see if they get you emotionally charged or leave you with a feeling of peace and love, that's your guide. It may be hard and you may even surprise yourself if you are truly honest with yourself and that's the fastest way to finding your truth, your path, your voice and your inner guidance.
