7 Gifts from God - Consciousness Part 4

On my last post I briefly touched on the subject of religion, I want to expand on that a little further. Religions have been around a long time. Ancient peoples knew there is a God/Goddess/Spirit; with less distraction and technology they relied more on this. I'm sure they felt Spirit move, work and speak through them the same as I do. Once people started to gather and organize and try to understand and explain this Spirit, and its pull and guidance, humanity gave birth to religion.

If you really want to discuss religion, that is the place to start. At the beginning and the end. Since we know the end of religion and the many forms it has today, to look at its origins then it's history is to show how history does repeat itself and how we have a chance to stop the cycle. I realize many people have feelings about this topic and have steadfast opinions and beliefs, but my purpose is not to make everyone comfortable but to share a message. It's not up to me to change anyone mind or opinion, it's honestly none of my business what your opinion is of religion or myself or the message, but I will do what I am told. 

Humans are the same now as they always have been. You have people who want to be at the top, you have people who want to help the people at the top, you have people who are content to follow those at the top, you have those who really don't care and live their lives, and you have those that resist the people at the top. We've seen it a thousand times in various cultures and religions. Once people gather, someone has to take control. I'm not placing a judgement on this, it just is. So when ancient peoples gathered and wanted a way to understand and express the Spirit and presence they felt in their souls, someone took control. 

Once someone was in charge, the others supported this person and beliefs, rules and rituals were decided on and written down. That's it! That's religion! That's what it all boils down to. A group of people who felt moved by Spirit to gather and agree. Right or wrong, that's the basics for how it all got started. From there you have further organization and civilization that lead the way for rulers and kings. We know from history that people tempted with power will do what they want, and many religions changed as a result of kings changing what was once believed and making it their own. Who stops or questions someone at the top? Many people, leading to many religions.

Spirit gave us the power of choice and free will. So these kings and rulers had a choice to make changes and they did. That lead to wars and disagreements but ultimately religions changed and many were born. I'm not saying religions are bad or wrong, I'm just saying if you are going to belief and follow something so strongly, you should know its origins and history. All religions have this. Rigid thought and believes will continue to make way for hate and judgemental thinking if we don't realize that religions were born from man, not God.

From a religious stand point, God wasn't always alone, there was a Goddess in early religions and sometimes only a Goddess. I think a lot of cultures realized the importance of balance between the two aspects. Many other religions have a son from the two deities, very similar to a Jesus figure. Then there are others that take out the male and female aspect and just have Spirit and Creator, Unity. I think they all lead back to this, Unity, Oneness and Love.

Ultimately, you have the same choice and free will. I just ask that you choose wisely and study and gain knowledge before passing judgement on all other religions. Believe what you want but allow others to do so also. Stay in love and Spirit and make sure to feel for your truth. If you have discord and anxiety in your body that's a sign of somethings not right and you need to look at your beliefs and think again. Just because a group of humans got together and made up many religions does not mean you have to blindly follow them.

Be you and be true to you. Love and let live. It's a much happier place to live from. My truth: No man, book or religion has the power to tell me what Spirit is capable of doing, Spirit has no limits and follows no rules, His creations are boundless and limitless as well. No one will tell me whether God/Goddess/Spirit/Son of Spirit is able to speak to me or not. No one will tell me magic and miracles are not real, I've seen them and felt them in my own life and in others'. You decide for yourself. Blessed Be!
