Snow Day Before & After

Who doesn't love a snow day? My snow day was full of crafting and creating so check out what's new in the boutique here. I had these matching gold frames that were really pretty but not my style, so I decided they needed a little work. I painted them with a pretty deep mint color. Once dry, I used a sheet of DCWV chalkboard scrapbook paper cut to size to make one a chalkboard. These frames did not come with traditional backing and are very deep so I used a few scrap pieces of wood to fill in the frame and seal. The chalkboard scrapbook paper has done really well so far. The other frame I made a chicken wire frame which is great for hanging up jewelry, notes or cards (or bills you don't want to forget to pay). To make this frame I cut a piece of chicken wire to size and stapled it in place with my staple gun. I then cut and tucked all loose ends of the chicken wire to make it safe. I think this pair turned out perfect and totally cute. They would make a great addition to any office or space. They'll be available at Hoarders Boutique tomorrow afternoon, stop by and check them out!
